Privacy Policy for “AI Deep Search: Relationships”

Last updated: September 2026

Owner & developer: Indie developer (contact: ilushazs@icloud.com)

1. Introduction

Thank you for using AI Deep Search: Relationships (the “App”, “DeepSearch”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you use the App.

The App helps you analyze conversation screenshots with AI. You upload chat screenshots, optionally add a little context, and receive a structured relationship / communication report. The App is not a cheating detector, not legal advice, and not a diagnosis.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Related terms, including auto-renewing subscriptions, are described in our Terms of Use.

2. Data We Collect

The App works without a password login. We do not ask for your real legal name, email address, or phone number to use the App. When you continue past onboarding, we create a lightweight App profile so we can apply usage limits and restore purchases.

2.1. Anonymous Identifiers & App Profile

To operate the App, quotas, and purchases, we use:

These identifiers do not include your real name, email address, or phone number by default.

2.2. Conversation Screenshots & Optional Context (AI Analysis)

When you run an analysis, you choose screenshots from your Photo Library using Apple’s system picker (PhotosPicker). The App does not request full Photo Library access and does not browse your camera roll. You may also type optional extra context (for example, “we’ve been dating two months”). You also select a relationship type (Dating, Relationship, Crush, Ex, or Other) and which side of the chat is yours.

Only the images and text you explicitly submit for that analysis are processed. Submitting screenshots is processing of user content. It is sent to our servers and then to OpenAI even though DeepSearch does not keep the files after the request finishes.

2.3. What We Send to OpenAI

After you agree on the in-app consent screen (checkbox naming OpenAI, then Agree and continue), the App sends the following to DeepSearch’s servers, and our servers then send it to OpenAI (currently via OpenAI’s API) to generate your report:

OpenAI is used only to produce that report. We do not use your screenshots or conversation content to train our own models, to show ads, or to identify people in the chat. We do not opt in to use API inputs to train OpenAI models. We send analysis requests with OpenAI’s store flag disabled so OpenAI does not keep Responses API application state for later retrieval.

If the images are not a readable chat (for example, nature photos), OpenAI may still receive them in order to return an “unreadable” / “no conversation” result. Those attempts still count toward anti-abuse limits, but a failed analysis is not counted as a successful free/Premium analysis.

2.4. What DeepSearch Does Not Keep After Processing

After the AI response is returned to your iPhone, DeepSearch does not keep on our servers:

On our servers, screenshots are processed in memory and discarded. They are not written to disk and are not stored in our database.

OpenAI is a separate processor. Even with store disabled, OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) under OpenAI’s own terms and API data usage policies (for example, abuse monitoring). We do not control that schedule. OpenAI API data is not used to train OpenAI models by default unless the API customer opts in. See also OpenAI’s Privacy Policy.

2.5. What Stays on Your iPhone

The generated report and your analysis history are saved on this device only. Uninstalling the App removes that local history (app files). Delete Account also replaces the Keychain identifier with a new one. After uninstall, a leftover Keychain identifier may remain until iOS removes it. We cannot recover a deleted on-device report.

2.6. Account Metadata Stored on Our Servers

To run the App we store limited metadata, for example:

2.7. Product Analytics

We record first-party product events such as opening tabs, starting an analysis, viewing the paywall, or updating a nickname. Those events may include non-content properties such as screenshot count, relationship type, or a paywall source. They never include screenshots, message text, or extra context.

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, do not show ads, and do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. The App does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because we do not track for advertising.

2.8. Purchase & Subscription Data

When you buy, start a free trial (if offered), or restore Premium, Apple and RevenueCat may process:

We do not see or store your full payment card details. Payments are processed by Apple via the App Store. Prices, trial length (if any), and renewal cost are shown in the App and on Apple’s purchase sheet before you confirm. See our Terms of Use for auto-renewal details.

2.9. Information You Provide Voluntarily

If you email us at ilushazs@icloud.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, and use it only to respond.

3. How We Use Your Data

4. Consent for AI Data Sharing

The App names OpenAI as the third-party AI service on the home screen and on a dedicated consent screen. That screen lists:

The consent screen appears after onboarding/paywall, and again if you choose Not now and later tap Analyze. Nothing is sent to OpenAI until you check the box agreeing to send selected screenshots and optional context to OpenAI, then tap Agree and continue. Analysis does not start without that permission.

You can revoke this consent anytime in the App: Profile → AI Data Sharing → Revoke. After you revoke, the App will not send screenshots to OpenAI until you agree again. Revoking consent does not automatically delete past on-device reports or already-processed API logs held by OpenAI under its policies.

5. Third-Party Services

5.1. Apple App Store & In-App Purchases

Payments are processed by Apple. Apple handles payment data under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not control Apple’s processing of App Store payments.

5.2. RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements and restore purchases. RevenueCat receives the anonymous App User ID and purchase-related information. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.

5.3. Our Backend Servers

The App talks to DeepSearch API servers to bootstrap your identity, check usage, record product events, and run analysis. Analysis requests include the screenshots and context described above. After OpenAI returns a report, image bytes and conversation content are discarded on our server.

5.4. OpenAI

We use OpenAI as the AI provider that reads the submitted screenshots and writes the structured report. Content required for that generation is transmitted securely for processing. OpenAI processes data under its terms and privacy policy applicable to API customers. If we replace the AI provider in the future, we will update this Policy.

5.5. Apple DeviceCheck

DeepSearch uses Apple DeviceCheck to prevent repeated redemption of the one-time free analysis. This device-level eligibility state does not contain conversation content, reports, nickname, or profile information. Apple stores that two-bit state; DeepSearch does not keep a persistent device fingerprint in our database after you delete your account. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share screenshots or chat content with advertisers. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (including as “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA/CPRA).

We may share limited data with:

7. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

8. Data Retention

9. Access, Correction & Deletion

You can change nickname and avatar in Profile. You can revoke AI data sharing in Profile. On-device reports are removed if you delete the App or delete your account.

In-app account deletion: go to Profile → Delete Account. This permanently deletes, from DeepSearch:

After deletion, the App returns you to onboarding and creates a new anonymous Keychain identifier. A new server profile is created only if you continue using the App. This cannot be undone. You may also email ilushazs@icloud.com with your 8-digit public ID if you cannot use the in-app control.

Account deletion does not delete:

If you still have Premium after deletion, use Restore Purchases after you continue so Apple can attach it to the new profile.

10. Data Security

API traffic uses HTTPS. Screenshots are handled in memory on our server for the duration of the request. No method of electronic transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for users 17 years of age or older. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the equivalent age required by local law). Do not upload screenshots of children. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so we can delete associated metadata where reasonably possible.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your location (including the EEA, UK, and California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain data, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

Because identity is primarily an anonymous device ID, it can be hard to match data to a named person unless you still have the App. The fastest way to erase our copy is Profile → Delete Account. You can also contact us at ilushazs@icloud.com and include your public ID from Profile if you have it. Revoking AI consent in the App stops future screenshot transfers to OpenAI.

13. International Data Transfers

Hosting providers, RevenueCat, and OpenAI may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required by law, appropriate safeguards may apply to those transfers.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. For material changes we may also show an in-app notice.
