Privacy Policy

Welcome to Padelora: Padel Score App (the "App"). The App includes an iPhone application and a companion Apple Watch app (together, the "Services"). We respect your privacy and explain here what information is processed when you use the Services.

1. Summary

• We do not ask you to create a traditional email/password account. The App uses an anonymous technical identifier (Firebase) so social and sync features can work.
• Match scores, player names, tactics and stats you enter are stored primarily on your devices (iPhone and, when synced, Apple Watch). Finished match summaries may also be sent to our servers if you use friends or leaderboard features.
• Optional social features (friend code, nickname, friends list, weekly leaderboard) use our backend — see Section 2 below.
• We use anonymous analytics (Firebase and Mixpanel) and purchase validation (RevenueCat) to improve the App — not for advertising or cross-app tracking.
• On Apple Watch, with your permission, the App may read HealthKit data (heart rate, active energy) during matches and save padel workouts to Apple Health.

2. Information Stored on Your Devices

Content you create in the App — including match scores, player names, tactic boards, chemistry ratings and preferences — is stored locally on your iPhone unless you use the Apple Watch companion, in which case relevant match state may be synced between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework. This device-to-device sync is handled through Apple’s systems.

You can erase locally stored app data at any time on iPhone: Settings → Erase All Data inside the App.

3. Friends, Profile & Weekly Leaderboard (Our Servers)

If you choose to use social features, we process and store limited data on our servers (authenticated via your anonymous Firebase ID), including:

• Profile: nickname (optional), friend code, timezone, optional avatar image URL, and whether you have Padelora Plus
• Friends: connections you add or remove by friend code; friends can see your nickname, avatar, win/loss counts and streaks you choose to share through the feature
• Match summaries: when you finish a match, a summary (result, date, format, score summary) may be uploaded to calculate weekly leaderboard standings and friend stats
• Leaderboard: weekly win/loss rankings among you and your connected friends; standings reset each week based on your timezone
• Invite links: your friend code may appear in share links you send to others

We do not make your profile public to all App users — social data is visible only to friends you connect with, as designed in the App. You can remove a friend at any time in the App.

4. Apple Watch Companion

The Apple Watch app lets you score matches from your wrist, view limited history, and (with Padelora Plus) access heart-rate zones during play. When your Watch and iPhone are paired and the Apps are installed on both devices:

• Live match state (score, rules, premium status) may sync between devices via WatchConnectivity.
• Watch complications/widgets may display summary stats stored in a shared App Group on your devices.
• Subscriptions purchased on either device apply to both when signed in with the same Apple ID (see Section 6).

5. HealthKit (Apple Watch)

If you grant permission, the Watch app may:

• Read heart rate and active energy (calories) during an active match workout.
• Write padel workout sessions to Apple Health / Fitness.

Health data is processed by Apple’s HealthKit on your devices. We do not receive your raw HealthKit data on our own servers. You can revoke Health access at any time in the Health app or Watch settings.

Padelora is a sports tracking tool, not a medical device. Do not use it for medical diagnosis or treatment.

6. Analytics and Technical Identifiers

To understand how the App is used and to fix issues, we collect anonymized usage and technical data, such as:

• App opens and feature usage (e.g., match started, paywall viewed, onboarding completed)
• App version, device type and OS version
• Subscription status in aggregate form (free vs. Plus) — not payment card data
• Crash and stability diagnostics (via Firebase)

We use the following third-party services for this purpose:

• Google Firebase Analytics — event analytics. See Firebase Privacy.
• Google Firebase Authentication (Anonymous) — creates a random technical user ID so analytics can be linked across sessions. There is no sign-in screen and we do not collect your email or name through Firebase.
• Mixpanel — product analytics (events such as app_open, match_start). Data is sent to Mixpanel’s infrastructure (including EU endpoints where configured). See Mixpanel Privacy Policy.

These providers may process device identifiers and event metadata as data processors on our behalf. We do not use analytics for third-party advertising or sell your data.

7. Purchases and Payments

The App offers an optional premium subscription called Padelora Plus. Plus unlocks on iPhone and Apple Watch, including:

• Unlimited finished matches per month (free users: limited monthly quota)
• Full match history and advanced statistics
• Player chemistry and insights
• Unlimited tactics board and save-to-Photos
• Heart-rate zones and workout insights on Apple Watch
• Live Activity on iPhone during matches

Padelora Plus is offered as:

• Weekly subscription — USD $5.99/week (local price in the App Store), with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. After the trial, the plan auto-renews weekly unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions).
• Lifetime access — a one-time USD $39.99 purchase (local equivalent shown at checkout). Not a recurring subscription.

Displayed prices may vary by region. We learn only whether you have an active Plus entitlement (via RevenueCat), not your payment card details.

Payments are processed by Apple. We do not see or store your payment card details. Subscription status is validated via RevenueCat, which uses anonymous identifiers tied to your Apple purchase. See RevenueCat Privacy.

A subscription started on iPhone or Apple Watch is available on the other device when you use the same Apple ID, subject to Apple’s and RevenueCat’s normal restore behavior.

8. Live Activities and Notifications

On iPhone, during a match the App may show a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. This content is handled on your device. You can disable Live Activities in iPhone Settings → Padelora.

9. Photos Library

If you save a tactic board or match card image, the App writes one image to your Photos library. The App does not read your other photos unless you grant broader access elsewhere in iOS. Revoke access in Settings → Padelora → Photos.

10. Data Security

We use industry-standard practices on our side for any third-party services we configure. Match content stays on your devices; analytics data is limited to non-identifying usage events and technical IDs described above.

11. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with service providers listed in this policy (Firebase, Mixpanel, RevenueCat, Apple) and our social backend infrastructure strictly to operate the App, analytics, subscriptions and social features — not for their independent marketing.

12. Your Choices and Rights

• Subscriptions: manage or cancel in Apple ID → Subscriptions; use Restore Purchases in the App if needed.
• Local data: erase via Settings → Erase All Data in the iPhone App.
• Delete account: use Settings → Delete Account to delete your anonymous app account, clear local profile and social caches, and start onboarding again. Server-side profile, friend connections and synced match summaries linked to that account are deleted or disassociated as part of this process, subject to reasonable backup retention.
• Friends: remove individual friends in the App at any time; they will no longer see your updated social stats.
• Health: manage permissions in the Health app.
• Analytics: you may limit ad tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Our analytics are first-party product analytics, not cross-app ad networks.
• EU/UK users: you may contact us to request access or deletion of data held by us through our processors where applicable.

13. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

14. International Transfers

Analytics providers may process data in the United States, the European Union or other regions. Mixpanel may be configured to use EU data residency endpoints for EU projects.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
