LearnSide ("we", "our", or "the app") helps users learn and practice English vocabulary. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account information: email address, username, authentication tokens, and basic account settings such as your preferred translation language.
• Learning content and progress: words you add, translations, practice status, session progress, streaks, statistics, and related learning history.
• Subscription and purchase information: product identifiers, subscription status, transaction identifiers, and restore/verification results needed to provide Premium access.
• App usage and diagnostics: limited product analytics such as screen views, feature usage, paywall events, purchase/restore events, errors, app version, device type, and approximate country. We use this to improve the app and fix issues.

How We Use Information

We use your information to create and manage your account, sync your words and progress, generate learning sessions, provide Premium features, process and restore subscriptions, prevent abuse, improve product quality, and respond to support requests.

Subscriptions and Purchases

LearnSide uses RevenueCat and Apple's App Store payment system to process in-app purchases and manage auto-renewable subscriptions. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Premium may include unlimited words, Mixed Practice, and premium practice modes. The yearly subscription may include a 3-day free trial when shown in the app. The weekly subscription does not include a free trial and starts immediately after purchase confirmation. Exact prices and trial availability are displayed in the app before purchase.

Third-Party Services

We may use the following services to operate the app:

• Apple App Store / StoreKit: purchase processing, subscription management, and refunds.
• RevenueCat: subscription verification, entitlement management, and restore purchases.
• Our backend infrastructure: account, learning data, analytics, and app functionality.

What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use advertising networks. We do not use your data for cross-app or cross-website advertising tracking.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on our servers and transmitted over encrypted connections where supported. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Choices and Rights

You can delete your account and associated learning data from the app in Profile → Delete account. You may also contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your data. If you are located in a region with specific privacy rights, such as the EEA/UK, you may have additional rights under applicable law.

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID settings. Deleting your LearnSide account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription; you must cancel it through Apple if you no longer want it to renew.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify users through the app, by email, or by updating this page.
